A diagnosis of Aspergers means different things to different people. But one thing it shouldn't mean is a feeling of being alone or constantly misunderstood/misinterpreted ! By having a venue such as these meetings with other "Aspies" as well as the family/friends who care about them this diagnosis can lead to doors opening instead of closing.

I really enjoy the meetings and am glad the're happening!! I would like to have a facilitater who knows about Aspergers to help people with specific issues they may want to talk about.

I always enjoy these meetups. I can be myself, and I can bring up any topic that interests me and usually discover that other people are interested as well. If you're an Aspie who feels isolated, it's a good way to meet people in a friendly, non-judgmental environment.

Nice to be accepted for who you are, instead of who you're trying to be.
