What's an interesting issue we'll discuss?

We have discussions about just about every subject under the sun. Topics might vary from the serious (what do you think about life after death?)) to the frivolous (who's your favourite Doctor in Doctor Who; which Star Trek incarnation is your favourite?)

Who should come? Are newcomers welcome?

Newcomers are definitely welcome. Anyone with Asperger's/autism is welcome. People who have friends or family members with Asperger's are welcome, as are people who want to know more about it.

Why should people come?

To meet other Aspies and find out that you're not the only one in the universe. To learn how other people live with Asperger's. To meet interesting new people. To have interesting conversations. To help people who are having trouble coping with their own Asperger's or someone else's.

Do attendees need to participate or can they just listen?

You can just listen if you want to.

How will members find you when they get there?

Ask for the reservation for rainbow, or look for a blonde woman wearing purple. I'll try to remember to put a Meetup sign on the table as well.

I like the idea of having a Bowling Night up in Sidney! Besides, everyone could freely move around and talk to others, rather than in a Restaurant where you're fixed to one seat and the person beside you or across from you.

    •  A little boring which is probably why some left early. I like the idea of having a Bowling night up in Sidney, rather than a dinner where you stay seated in one place and only chat with the people around you.
    •  In spite of the fact that I was in pain from a nerve problem, I enjoyed the meeting. I wish I could have spoken to more people, but I was unable to move around due to my pain.
    •  Thanks Matthew. I thought I'd halfway-missed a good meetup, being tired and not socially `on' yet. I work nights, btw; was still trying to wake up when I got there. Guess it was just a more subdued evening for eveyone though. Maybe a bit of post-holiday blah's going around. Still, great to see you all again. :-) It was a pleasure being dull with you [hope I didn't bore anyone...].
