|
FORMERLY ADULTS WITH ASPERGER'S OF NORTHERN CHICAGOLAND (Same Group, Different Name) CASPAN is our new name. It stands for Chicago Asperger's Adult Network. We have several different groups around the Chicago metro area. We are among the top 10 most popular Asperger's groups on Meetup across North America! Meet with local adults (18 and over) affected by Asperger's and other similar autistic spectrm and pervasive developmental disorders. We have people who are both formally diagnosed and self diagnosed. No formal diagnosis is necessary to join. 2 of our groups (Evanston support and social groups) are the official Chicago chapter of GRASP, a national organization of Aspies helping others on the spectrum. For info please visit http://www.grasp.... . We now have support groups that meet in: We also have a more casual social and activity group that meets at various locations. We have additionally attended a number of area autism conferences as a group, including ASI, MAAP, Future Horizons and Autism One. We are always looking for suggestions for future activites, discussion topics, and new groups.
