The meeting topic:

+ What do we want the world to know about Asperger's? Since we are doing more autism community events, it is a good idea to think about what we want to help parents and professional to understand about us.
+ What do you want to help the broader community understand?
+ Also, what should we understand about ourselves? Being able to describe the way we experience life and can be important for being able to explain ourselves to others.

I'm at home now. I'm following politics and getting ready to watch the Cubs game. I enjoyed myself yesterday. I will be back in three weeks.

Who attended?

    •  interesting discussion, newer people
    •  It was surprising to learn how people experience AS differently. There were quite a few people that mentioned the numerous sensory problems they experienced, where as I only experience problems with sense of smell. But there are other people in the group like me, who experience problems learning new information.
    • Steven L. (+6 guests)
A good discussion. A lot of good comments from the new people who came to the group.
    • Brandon Sanks (+1 guest)
This was my first meeting. It is interesting to meet people who are like me. I have felt like an outsider my whole life. I know I'm not alone anymore.
