GRASP Support Group 7/20

Our next GRASP Support Group will be held Sunday, July 20, from 2pm to 4pm in Evanston Hospital, Room 1711, 2650 Ridge Ave., Evanston, IL 60201.

The main discussion topic for our support group on Sunday will be "Conversations." There was a lot of enthusiasm for this topic when we addressed it last summer. This topic fits nicely with a discussion of our personal interests. It will give people a chance to find out more about their fellow group members.
We can start by going around the room and (1) naming some topics that we like discussing and (2) naming a couple topics that we have trouble discussing. Then, we can discuss our experiences with conversations and what we can do to make our conversations better.

GRASP Chicago is a peer-run support group for adults (18+) with Asperger's Syndrome, Autism, and Pervasive Developmental Disorder, and Nonverbal Learning Disabilities. GRASP Chicago will discuss topics relating to the challenges we face in work, relationships, and family life, and resources available to people on the Autism Spectrum.

* No formal diagnosis necessary

* Relatives of adults on the autism spectrum and other observers should get permission from facilitator Steven L. before attending. Preference will be given to people on the autism spectrum for participation in discussions.

Take the CTA Purple Line to Central Street, Evanston stop. Walk two blocks east on Central Street to reach Evanston Hospital.

Parking
Parking is Free in the Evanston Hospital Parking Garage on Sundays.
