I don't mean to pull the "leadership rug" out from anyone. 'Just merely trying to get the ball rolling here. I do have one idea for a "first meeting" place: we could reserve a meeting room at one of the Tulsa County libraries. I think this might be preferable as to help attenuate sources of sensory overload (not noisy like a restaurant). I would need one person to give me their info (name, phone #, address, ZIP) for a second point of contact if we are to reserve a room in one of the libraries, or I could give you my info if you prefer.
I have AS/HFA. I DO NOT consider this much of a disability, as this allows me to study Anthropology at a whole, other level. It IS a challenge, as Oklahoma is not a Nerd-friendly place... this keeps things interesting for me (in the Chinese sense of the word).
Anyway... If you (all) like this idea for a meeting place, send me an email. If you have better ideas, please email those ideas. I HAVE A TIME AND PLACE for the first meeting : Hardesty Regional Library, Feb. 9th, in the Ash Room, from 3-4:30 PM.
