Introduction: Howdy, I'm Case, Linda's son. I'm 25, diagnosed late last year and still trying to get my head around the fact that I'm autistic. I'm hoping this group can help people like me discover that we're not alone, and that we have something to contribute.
As an Aspie, do you find that you have a "special interest"? What is it?: It's a little un-pc, but guns and weaponry have been an obsession of mine since early childhood. I actually went to Colorado to get a degree in gun smithing, though I don't do it proffesionaly at the moment. My other interests tend to be fleeting.
How has being diagnosed as Aspergian affected your life? Has the change been positive or negative?: I'm still adjusting. I've only been official for the last 6 months or so, so it still hasn't quite sunk in. I do feel better now that I know, since I can be a little less hard on myself about the things I can't help.
