Play Group for Asperger kids

I have a nine year old son with Aspergers and he is having an extremely difficult time right now because he has no friends or when he gets one he loses them because of his social skills or behavior. He needs to have friends that don't always seem perfect to him. He needs to have friends that accept him for who he is. All the therapist and school personall say is that he needs to be with kids to help develop his social skills. How does he do this when he can't keep a friend because of his social development? I am trying to start a group in the Northern Kentucky area for kids around 8 to 12 years olds who need a friend just like my son.
