Hello,
I have a 16 year old son who was just diagnosed as having AS. My husband and I are trying to learn as much as we can about AS. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the right kind of therapy would be for my son at this point? I also wonder if it's too late to help my son? Any advice or help here would be appreciated. Thanks, Carol |

I'm not sure about therapies especially as I've never been offered any (and I'm 34 now), so good luck to you on finding any available therapy...
As for it being too late, I would think not. I imagine he might be very upset and depressed as I was at that age, but I reckon a point where it's too late to help would be around age 24-26. At least that's the point I considered it being too late for me, and I wasn't diagnosed until 26. I'm not sure why he needs therapy, but I would recommend he find a group or groups he's interested in. I suppose at that age he will only be able to do so online. |
