Diagnosing Asperger's Syndrome

Hi

I have a son, aged 14, that I believe to have Asperger's. He has every symptom but nothing extra that would lead me to believe he has anything else. My problem is that I can not afford the doctor fees to have him diagnosed. The pediatrician that we go to has a separate practice for children with mental health disorders and he charges $850.00 for the initial consultation. I have been searching for 2 years but have come up empty trying to get help with this. My insurance covers nothing for the diagnosis. Can anyone advise me where I can turn?
