I have moderate Asperger's Syndrome, and where I went to Church for awhile people thought I was demonically possessed. Why? My aspie outbursts, and that I told the pastor my personal opinion that I thought he was a false prophet, and that his moral convictions, personality, and sermons didn't line upwith scriptural standards. Because of my opinion, he tried performing an exorcism. How many of you fellow aspies of mine, have to deal with this bigotry bullcrap? What other things do you followers of the way who are Aspies have to face from those leaders ,elders & those in positions of authority in the Churches, who are uninformed of what Asperger's is? How do you deal with it? I also face opposition in the community I am an aspie who lives by himself. I I have never once been arrested. People here think because of My Aspie traits, that I am creepy, crazy psychotic & weird. I know it is because most here in Greenville do not understand what Asperger's Syndrome and/or High Functioning Autism , and how they affects those who have such as me & you. I know I must spread awareness, and that one way to that is to tell people about it. I know other ways to spread Aspie awareness are by creating a website, posters out on lightposts, and so on etc, as well as community events. What else is there that can be done to spread Asperger's awareness? What issues doyou face ,my fellow aspies?

I found your opinion of the pastor's convictions being false and "unscriptural" quite interesting. Did you come to that conclusion as a result of reading what the Bible really teaches? I have found that most Churches teach man's tradition of doctrine rather than God's standards. I agree Aspie's are very misunderstood. It is a disorder that has ran in our family for generations. I am just finding that there is actually a name for it. True to inheritance my 10 year old grandson is Aspie. I haven't told him and I don't know if I should. He too finds great solace in knowing the TRUTH of the Bibles promise of a world in perfect harmony with man and beast as in the beginning before Adam messed everything up.
